Myths and Facts on Kangen Water The internet contains a lot of information about water ionizer machines. The company representing these products as well as the affiliates and distributors of these companies all want you to consider their brand to be the best. This is normal. You would expect to find this attitude in anyone representing a specific product brand. The problem we have found is that a great deal of the information presented about Enagic and their water ionization machines is inaccurate due to a lack of research and the freedom of distributors and affiliates of the different brands of ionizer machines, saying and writing whatever they want online. Because of this we feel it is important that you have the opportunity to see researched information of Enagic's brand and two other competitor brands. This report provides feature by feature descriptions of the Tyent MMP 5050 and Life Ionizer 7500 as compared to Enagic's LEVELUK SD501, LEVELUK JrII and the SUN-US water ionizer models. You can use this report to help you compare any other brand you find online. The LEVELUK SD501 is the model that the distributors and review sites as well as a few corporate sites choose to compare their top models to. This is a mistake that needs to be corrected. Why? Because the LEVELUK SD501 is the Cadillac of ionizers. Instead of comparing a Cadillac to a two door Sedan, let's compare the two door Sedan with the other two door Sedans. Once you see the full picture, feature by feature, you will then understand the true value of the LEVELUK SD501 and why we call it the Cadillac of all water ionizers, standing alone in it's class with no other brand even coming in at a close second. So, they purchased three machines from the competition because they got them at a huge discount. It makes me so sad to learn of these things, "After" they have happened. If they had just had the oportunity to talk to a Kangen water distrubutor, read this report, or learn that they could have purchased the SUN US for the same price than at least they would have had the benefits of real "Kangen" water. Look at the price list below. The competition does not tell you the truth about Enagic or that there are machines of the same pricing as their machines. You will learn so much if you even just SKIM this report. Enagic VS Other Water Ionizer Brands The models that are best used for comparisons are the LEVELUK JrII and the Sun-US. When you consider the features and pricing of these two models by Enagic against the competitors best models, you can decide for yourself what brand of water ionizer is the best choice for you and your family. Enagic's LEVELUK Jr.II will stand up to any other water ionizer brand that can produce all types of restructured water. From the high alkaline 11.5 pH to the strong acidic water of 2.5 pH. The LEVELUK Jr.II sells for $2380.00. Enagic's Sun-US will stand up to any other water ionizer brand that produces water at a 4.0 pH to 9.5 pH. The Sun-US sells for$1280.00. Alkalinity - Most ionizers can produce 8.5 to 9.5 drinking water. Very few brands can produce strong acidic water. Enagic's LEVELUK series of water ionizers all produce strong acidic water of 2.5 pH. This information is clearly posted on the enagic.co.jp corporate website in the products section.
Price Comparison These two do not produce the 2.5 pH or 11.5 pH: Strong Acid Water - The LEVELUK SD501 produces 2.5 pH strong acidic water. It is used in hospitals and restaurants to aid in disease prevention as well as sterilization. There are many uses for this water. In Japan they are using it in many cases to decrease the need for chemicals and pesticides on a golf course as well as in small farms. The Japanese were so impressed with the Kangen ionized water, they developed a documentary series on the different types of water produced. You can view most of these videos in our video section. It is vital that the strong acid water produced is reliable. Using this water for sterilization of germs on your counter requires a strong acidic water of a minimum of 2.7 pH. When it comes to open wounds and bed sores or gangrene where cell death occurs and many times amputation is necessary a strong acidic water of 2.6 pH will kill these germs on contact. Because Tyent does not have a water ionizer that can produce strong acidic water, it should not be compared to any model that does. Any ionizer model that does not have this feature and should only be compared to Enagic's Sun-US model. ORP = Antioxidents - The ORP relates to the oxidation reduction potential. The higher the negative ORP is, the more antioxidents you will have in your water. There is a tremendous amount of misinformation regarding the ORP production. What you will not learn from the videos on Youtube or the charts on "independent review" sites is the technical side of how ORP is achieved and how specific conditions will effect the results. Variables Affecting ORP:
When you consider all of these variables, it is easy to see how accurate testing of each machine in a wide variety of environments will provide different results. Results can be manipulated and misleading. When the ORP meter is properly cleaned before and after testing, the water flow of each machine tested is in proportion to one another, meaning the same water flow output, and the test is performed using quality water containing a good amount of minerals, you will find Enagic's machines produce an ORP rating that remains higher longer and outlasts any other brand of comparable features and pricing. In addition, a test of time should be performed. Enagic's LEVELUK SD501 was tested after 2 minutes of running water with NO ORP drop. Other brands were tested and showed a dramatic decrease in ORP after just 2 minutes of water flow. ORP is also highly affected by power. The more watts a machine has, the more power it produces. Power equals stronger, longer lasting and higher ORP. Enagic's LEVELUK SD501 has 7 large plates with 230 watts of power. With Enagic's brand being 222% more surface area than many other brands, there is no doubt as to why there is a dramatic decrease of ORP in these other brands after just 2 minutes of water flow. ORP Comparison After learning more about ORP and how much it can be affected by the above variables, you can see why the "seeing is believing" Youtube video is not reliable. Before moving forward, let me give you an example of ORP "quality". Betty Brammer lives here in Shasta County. She has terminal cancer in her liver, lungs and pancreas. Betty comes to get water every "other" day. Even though she has been coming every other day for the past 3 months, her tumers have shrunk down so much that her doctor needed a special technician to help him find any traces of tumors in her liver and pancreas. ORP and the test of time: Enagic's LEVELUK SD501 produces a high ORP and this ORP does NOT drop dramatically after 2 minutes of water flow, nor after a few minutes standing. Testing has shown it to drop by 50% in 24 hours, not 2 minutes. Betty's story is NOT unique! Quality is important to me, I am sure it is important to you too. Special Cleaning Cartridge Every ionizer machine has a self cleaning feature. Enagic also has this feature. However, in addition Enagic's models have a special cleaning cartridge using a patented technology no other brand has. These cartridges are $18.00 each. The purpose of these cartridges is to clean the plates of mineral build up. Mineral build up cannot be totally prevented through the self cleaning features of any ionizer. Enagic's cleaning cartridges remove mineral build up and keep their ionizer models in top running condition. This is another reason why Enagic's brand will continue to produce excellent water quality as well as a faster flow for years and years to come. The ORP rating and water flow is greatly affected by mineral build up on the plates. As mineral build up occurs on the plates, both water flow and ORP decrease tremendously. Mesh VS Solid Plates
Size DOES Matter Enagic's top home model, the LEVELUK SD501 has far greater surface area than the other models. This equals a lot more ORP. This is why I have separated the comparison so you can see where the other ionizer models truly measure up. The SD501 has a higher price due to the dramatic plate size difference. The SD501 is installed in single family homes as well as businesses such as wellness clinics and health clubs while the other models compared to the SD501 cannot be used in these high volume establishments. This is clearly not the model for them to use for their comparisons.$3980.00 LEVELUK SD501 245 = 222% more total surface area of
the Life 7500 $1995.00 Tyant 25 sq. in. per plate, 125 total surface area. The Sun-US is $700.00 less than the Tyent MMP 5050. As you can see when it comes to plate size, these competitors are not playing fair when comparing the "price" of their machines to the Enagic's LEVELUK SD501. Power Output: Watts, Transformers and the SMPS SMPS – SMPS is an acronym for Switch-Mode Power Supply Applications. Transformer – A part of the machine that is used to boost the power level. Watts – A watt is a measure of energy conversion.
All of these terms are rather technical and very tedious in trying to really get down to understanding how each of these things works or is used. However, it is important to understand the basic “idea” or “importance” of these things because without understanding their purpose, it would be easy to misunderstand their value to the ionic machines that use them.
Every ionic machine needs power. The way that power is managed has to do with the SMPS as well as the type Transformer they are built with. Enagic uses a Transformer that can handle a large amount of energy produced by more watts. Other companies need to use the SMPS to manage the power for their machines as well.
What is the difference? And why does it matter?
The difference between these two parts is important because it has to do with power and durability. Each machine takes water in and through another pretty technical process, changes that water from what we know as “tap” into a health promoting ionic water.
These machines heat up while performing this process. The plates inside the machines become very hot during this process. The bottom line here is that the SMPS is used as an off switch. In order to protect the plates from becoming too hot, the SMPS shuts down the machine. Most ionic machines have these SMPS units. The machines that have them, can only run for approximately 5 minutes before the SMPS kicks in and shuts them off until they cool down.
Enagic uses the transformers in order to obtain a higher amount of power. Due to the patented technology of the machines made by Enagic, the machines can run for 30 minutes without having to cool down. Beside being able to produce water at a faster rate and being able to run for a longer period of time, there is another reason why the technology to use a Transformer instead of an SMPS is important. As these machines heat up, the quality of the water coming out from them is reduced. The greatest benefit of these machines has to do with the quality of water it produces. The higher the ORP the greater the benefits.
However, producing ORP is only the first step. Longevity is also important. The life of the ORP in the water is also something to consider. I have read many different things regarding the testing of ORP. When it comes to Enagic’s machines I can tell you that the ORP produced by these machines is long-lasting. My friend personally tested the ORP over a days time. The ORP rating immediately coming out of the machine was –400 which is excellent. After a day, she tested it again and it was –300.
Other machines have been tested in the same way and the ORP produced from machines using SMPS technology with a lower watt capability produces water with an ORP that is reduced by 50% within the first 2 minutes.
There are technical advances that we can take advantage of today. However, just because something is not “new”, it doesn’t mean it’s not better. When it comes to Enagic’s choice of using the Transformer and not using an SMPS it is simply because the technology that Enagic uses allows for a greater power consumption in the Kangen water machines. Enagic does not use the SMPS because their machines are built to handle a greater amount of power and therefore the SMPS is not required. Power by Watts Comparison LEVELUK SD501 230 watts: 150 more watts than Life
7500 Life 7500 - 80 watts (heat sensor to prevent over-heating) When it comes to the power and heat issues, neither the Life 7500 nor Tyent's top model can compare to any of Enagic's water ionizers. Water Flow Rate: Flow rate for the competitor brands is VERY slow. In addition, the Life 7500 and the Tyent cannot handle high volume use, meaning constant use throughout the day, or continual use for longer than a few minutes at a time. In the case of Tyent's machines, we know that time to be 5 minutes. The LEVELUK SD501 has no problem with high volume use. Darleen Whitney has over 20 people coming to her home per day filling gallons and gallons of water for their families. Her LEVELUK SD501 processes about 3000 gallons of water every 5 weeks. Over the past 4 months this machine has processed the equivalent of over 3 years of average home use and the flow is still as fast as her faucet can produce it and the pH levels are still at the same pH levels they were when new. The LEVELUK SD501 can handle a high water flow from homes with high water pressure. I have personally filled 5 gallon water container with 4 gallons of water in 2 minutes and 20 seconds allowing the water to flow as fast as our water pressure allowed. The average water flow of other ionizer brands appears to be restricted to about 3/4 of a gallon per minute. Due to the smaller plates and lower power output, these other brands cannot maintain allow a faster flow rate. For water flow comparison, there really is no comparison. All other brands have restricting water flow far below any of Enagic's models, even the least expensive model, the Sun-US. LEVELUK SD501 - 8 liters per min. 5.5 liters per minute more than Life
7500 Water Filter Capacity - Enagic's filters last 2100 to 2400 gallons longer than Tyent and Life Ionizer models. Enagic's Filters can handle 3000 gallons before requiring a filter change. These filters can handle all types of water conditions. High grade filters are $120.00, regular filters are $90.00. The Life Ionizer has two filters. Each filter can handel aprox. 1000 to 1500 gallons. These filters are $49.95 each. They will need to be changed two to three times as much as Enagic's filters. In addition to these two filters inside the machine, there are hard water pre filters outside the machine that will require changing. For most homes, the $20.00 to $30.00 pre-filter will do. Other homes with very hard water will need to install reverse osmosis filters that cost from $400.00 to $700.00 above the cost of the machine. *These take out the minerals and then put them back. Odd, but true. Tyent MMP 5050 has a duel filter system and needs to be replaced every 900 gallons. These costs $85.00 for 2 filters. These will need to be changed three times as much as Enagic's machines. Now consider the Tyent, Life, and Enagic's price of a filter change for every 3000 gallons. How long does it take to use up 3000 gallons? Considering that these machines produce water to be used for laundry, sanitizing counters, removing pesticides from fruits and vegetables, hair softeners and of course drinking for both humans and pets, the gallons per day will vary greatly. However, it is silly to think that any family, even a house of just one person, would use as little as 2.5 gallons per day. A family of 3, including one pet, the occasional visiting friend and family member, plus the mooch who comes to get their daily water supply, using an average of 10 gallons per day, would use 3000 gallons in aprox. 10 months. A family of 5 sharing water with 2 pets, 3 mooches and the occasional family or friend visiting, using an average of 20 gallons per day would need to change the filter every 5 months. Depending on the size of your family I would imagine most people will be changing their Enagic brand filters every 5 to 10 months. Filters that require changing every 1000 to 1500 gallons would be changed every 90 to 150 days using just 10 gallons per day and 45 to 75 days for an average of 20 gallons per day. If you think using up 10 to 20 gallons per day is unreasonable, go to the fish store, look at the 10 and 20 gallon water tanks and see how little water volume that is. Believe me, when you own one of Enagic's water ionizing machines, you will be sharing it with friends and family all the time. People will be sick with all types of illnesses and you will be hard pressed NOT to invite them over to get water from your machine. Filter Change Price Comparison - Enagic - $90.00 to $120.00 every 3000 gallons Manufacture Integrity Enagic's machines are all made inside one factory. Each part, every nut and bolt, even the mold fittings inside the box to house the machines are manufactured at one factory. No parts are imported and there is no assembly line production. Craftsmanship Every one of Enagic's machines are each assembled by one of their many highly trained technicians; one technician per assembled machine in order to maintain high quality control. There is no better way to maintain excellence than this. Warranty Information Enagic offers a full 5 year Warranty for the LEVELUK SD501. There are no hard water limitations and it is not limited to single family use. Life Ionizer Warranty: The Warranty of the Life Ionizer's 5 year Warranty is invalid if used in areas with hard water without the pre-filters. "All machines that are used for high volume applications such as weight loss/Fitness Centers etc., will void the above warranty." Why they compare this model with the LEVELUK SD501 is ridiculous when the SD501 can and is used for these types of high volume applications all the time. Regarding the hard water: "From the date of purchase the warrantor is not responsible for incidental or consequential damage; for damages arising out of the use of any unauthorized attachment; for damages resulting from the use of the product with a defective water faucet and/or water that is judged by local authorities as "hard" (TDS above 18 grains)." Additional Filter: For well water homes an additional $400.00 to $700.00 pre filter is required, for hard water homes using tap, a $20.00 to $30.00 filter is required. Offers a 60 day satisfaction Guarantee. Make sure you purchase with a credit card and if you have any problems, mention that your credit card has a "buyers protection plan". There is a standard 15% restocking fee. Tyent Warranty: The Tyent Warranty is confusing. They have a 5 year limited warranty. "The warranty covers all manufacturers’ defects, as well as any problems that were not a misuse or abuse of the unit. Abuse includes using the unit in a matter inconsistent with the directions in the owner’s manual..." This model most likely cannot handle high volume use such as a health club, etc... Tyent's 60 day satisfaction guarantee is only honored as follows: "This guarantee is only for retail sales". These machines are sold by affiliates and distributors as well as wholesale dealers. If you want to buy Tyent, find a retail store so when you need to return it before your 60 days is up, you can. Durability and Longevity (according to each brands own claims) LEVELUK SD501 - 15 yrs Regarding The Business Opportunity The Tyent and Life Ionizers are sold through distributors and affiliates. I did not have time to research this forever, but you will find this is the case with a great deal of water ionizers, if not all of them. The profit or payout is relative to the cost of the model. Regarding Enagic's Starting Commissions: The Sun-US offers a starting commission of $80.00 per machine sold. The LEVELUK JrII has a starting commission of $160.00 per unit sold. The commission is higher and a point system is used. 52% of the profits of any model go back to the distributors. Let's review business opportunities: In other words... Either way you look at it, the machines have a compensation plan. If the competitors want to say it's bad to share 52% of the profits with the distributors, why do they share 60%? Tyent has a 3 level comp. plan, Enagic has a 6 point referral comp. plan. Sometimes this means a machine sold will only pay commissions on 3 levels. Enagic's compensation plan and Tyent's have the same results. A percentage of their profits go back to the distributors. These other companies have distributors misrepresenting the facts about how these water ionizers are sold in order to draw your attention away from Enagic before you do any further research. Remember, if money is an issue over health, Enagic has several different models to choose from. #1. The reason why the distributors of all other brands try to compare their best model to Enagic's LEVELUK SD501 is because they can call attention to their best model being about $2000.00 less. They do NOT tell you that Enagic sells the Sun-US or LEVELUK JrII do they? No, and THAT is an excellent point, wouldn't you agree? As this report has shown, the model by Enagic they should be comparing their best water ionizer to is very competitive in price as well as containing similar features. #2. The reason why they complain about the business opportunity, calling attention to "MLM" and use the LEVELUK SD501 is again, a case of misdirection. Like the magician who shows you nothing is up one sleeve, while the item hides in the other. These distributors representing other brands are simply parroting what they have heard by way of "gossip" and NOT research. It is far easier to copy and paste an article favoring what you want to hear, then it is to check the data and do your homework which in the case of this report is at about 100 hours now. Researching Results: It took me months to learn these things. I have not found this information put together in any one place online. Some of this information I learned only by asking the highly trained technicians at Enagic questions about well water and ORP. I have also made phone calls, sent email inquiries and compared a wide variety of sites looking over technical data and comparison charts. I have found a great deal of conflicting information regarding these other brands and had to "re-do" this report many times. It's hard to be accurate when even the corporate sites of these other brands tell you one thing on their site and another on the phone. There are far more brands to consider and there is enough information on this page for you to use in your comparisons of other brands. Remember, if you are comparing any competitor brand against Enagic, compare their "home" model to the LEVELUK JrII. If the machine does not produce strong acidic water, compare that model to the Sun-US. SUMMERY Enagic's LEVELUK series produce NON-Toxic legally transported strong acidic water. Plates made of mesh have open areas where titanium is exposed, fatigue faster than solid plates and are subject to mineral build up within the tiny mesh holes. Enagic, Tyent and Life, as well as any other company that sells their machines through distributors, affiliates and wholesale clients, all share a large portion of their profits with these individuals. The business opportunity and financial aspects are relative to the price of each model sold and the compensation plan created by the company. This complaint is simply a lot of pots calling the kettle black. Internet Gossip, Rants and You tube - Or Researching for Results Sarcasm and ranting have their place in our world and everyone enjoys poking fun and playing practical jokes from time to time. However, I'm not interested in selecting the best ionizer according to the funniest review or any review that misrepresents or disrespects another company's product by failing to check Internet gossip before displaying it on their own site. I'm sure you're reading this article because you have the same goal, finding the best ionizer that your finances allow and most importantly for your health and the health of your family and friends. Every type of product you find online will have both pro and con advocates. All distributors want their product to shine. All distributors are participating in some type of compensation plan. Doctors are "paid" all the time to represent a specific product. Being paid to represent a product, does not always mean they actually USE IT or AGREE with what they are "paid" to represent. Competitors are hoping you will spend very little time doing any research and instead read their very misleading article Kangen Water Myths and Facts without question. Some encourage you to watch the You tube videos hoping that if you "see" what they present, you will "believe" what you see. I hope this report has helped you see just how amazing Enagic's brand of ionizers truly are. They are truly the only choice in water ionization.
